SUMMARY:Movement and Art to resist: an ecofeminism workshop by Dayana Corzo & Isabella Arboleda.
DESCRIPTION: On the occasion of International Women’s Week and the RTSN Tour\, join us on a creative and engaging journey where art and activism come together to explore the power of women and their deep connection to the Earth. “Movement and Art to resist” is more than just a workshop; it’s an experience that celebrates the strength of women\, using the arts and dance as tools for expression and resistance. By combining art and movement\, we will delve into themes such as respect for the Earth\, the concept of “buenvivir\,” and the impact of extractivism on communities and the environment.\n\n Dayana and Isabella\, Colombian activists and artists\, will guide you through a unique journey\, accompanied by Carolina\, an environmental activist and human rights advocate from the community of Falan\, Colombia. Together\, they will share stories of resistance against mining projects\, highlighting the battle of women environmental and human rights defenders against extractivism.\n\n Join us in this free workshop\, open to everybody regardless of dance or painting skills. The event will be organised in Spanish\, with translation provided in English!\nWe look forward to having you share this inclusive and transformative experience with us!\n\n Register here -> https://forms.gle/aYxrJLJHcSURWUsy7\n[This event is part of the RTSN Tour. Our guests\, Carolina and Wilder\, two activists from Falan\, Colombia\, are building a movement to defend their region against mining companies and their colonialism. They have the right to say no to the destruction of their region. Join the events during The Right to Say No Tour to hear about the experiences of these environmental defenders\, how our “green” transition is impacting their lives and how degrowth might help their struggle.]\n\n\n\n[This event is part of the RTSN Tour.
